My path to founding Lumen Medicare didn’t start in an office, it started at home.
I stood by as my grandfather had to liquidate his life’s savings just to meet the spend down required for long-term care for his aging wife. Then take out a reverse mortgage to meet his basic needs. Years later, I watched my father forced to skip essential medications because he simply couldn't afford them, shocked to learn his coverage wasn't protecting him when he needed it most.
Seeing my own family face these dark, overwhelming moments made one thing painfully clear, seniors and families are left without the true support, education, and advocacy they deserve.
That’s why I created Lumen Medicare. The word Lumen means a unit of light, and that’s exactly what we aim to be. We exist to bring total clarity to a complex system, serving as your personal guide, advocate, and support system.
